COMMENDATORY.—Following is the re-
port of Inspector Robb after bis official
visit to Brussels Public School and is
certainly complimentary to the staff ;—
To THE BOARD or PUBLIC SCHOOL
TRUSTEES, BRUSSELS, GENTLEMEN,—I
beg leave to report that I visited your
school on Nov. nth, 23rd, 25th, and
27th, The yards and offices were in a
very satisfactory condition. The school
rooms and halls were clean, well venti6
ated and comfortable. The caretaking
is quite satisfactory. The cutting of
the arch between Mr. Cameron's room
and the Board room is a decided im-
provement in many ways. The entire
work of the school is very satisfactory.
It would indeed be gilding refined gold
to say anything in praise of the older
members of the staff. These teachers
are, as usual, doing excellent work.
Miss McCanius is a decided acquisition
to the High School department,—clear
and accurate in her teaching and firm in
discipline ; should she find it necessary
toshake the wrinkles out of the perverse
disposition of any of her pupils I ata
snre you will support her fully. I niay
add ;that the entire business manage-
ment ot the Board is very satisfactory
in financial matters it is especially
strong. I am. Gentlemen.
Your obedient servant, D. ROBB.
J. C. ROCKWELL s NEW SUNNY SOUTH
Co.—After years of experieaoe with all
the greatest colored shows of recent
times and years of endeavor as a mana-
ger of his own aggregation, J, C. Rock-
well has reached a secure place in the
recognition of the theatre goiug public,
To -day It is a conceded fact that this
New Suuny South Company which will
appear in the Town Hall, Brussels,
Thursday evening, Dec, loth., is one of
the strongest and most complete colored
shows ever sent on the road, Mr. Rock-
well does not believe in putting the
greater part, of his salary allotment into
one or two acts vied allowing the balance
of the performance to suffer through the
employment of cheaper ones, which al-
ways disgust the experienced patron,
but he has found that the expenditure of
money for the purpose of making each
act anti detail complete pays twice over
its the office receipts, This explains
why the Sunny South Company always
gives unbounded satistactiou, The
company is one of the largest ot its kind,
being composed of twenty-five colored
people each and every one an expert in
speciality work, who do everything
funny that derides can do so well and
keep the audience its a constant state of
laughter and excitement from start to
finish. The performance is a musical
one throughout and contains very little,
if anything that might by celled a plot.
The costumes arebright, the music of
the whistling kind and the dancing easy
and graceful, The Olto is composed of
eight high-class ants and one of which
will make the, audience sit up and listen,

Co.—When 1. C. Rockwell's New Sunny
South company appears in the Town
Hall, Brussels, on Thursday evening,
December, loth, our citizens will have
en opportunity of judging for them
selves just what a first-class colored
organization really is. 'Phis company is
a colored one throughout, itis composed

laugh. It is recognized from coast to
coast as one of the strougest, brightest

singing and dancing specialties that will
melte the audience sit up and listen.
There is plenty of fun in the produc-
tion, in fact it was built for laughing
purpose, only and is generally conceded
to be the Funniest show since time be-
gan. From the rise to the fall of the
curtain, the performance will
he found to he full of bright and catchy
music of the whistling kind and clean
wholesome comedy that will send you
home whistling, • happy and contented.
The program consists of characteristic
music, solos, chorus, buck and wing
dancing and other features peculiar to
the negro in Dixie Land, presented by
negros of the cultured and educated
class, giving a pleasing performance
throughout, free from vulgarity, without
any objectional features, at the same
time sparkling with wit and good humor.
