The rock dredge has been the past
week blasting the rock all• the harbor
bottom just East of the elevator. The
dredge is deepening the channel from
the South end cf the outside break-
water to the harbor.
W. B. Graham pulled from a Cay-
uga red streak apple tree on his Col -
home Earth an apple which weighs 19
minces and tneasnres 14. inches
diameter each way. The entire crop
of the tree was of large size, and he
would 111,.' to ]hear of a sample which
would beat this.

barn of Mrs. Austin, just South of the

W. J. Pyle received the sad intelli-
gence of the death of his sister with
typhoid fever, at Kenora, Manitoba.
Deceased was unmarried and was en-
gaged in the teaching profession.

immediate circle of relatives were

white silk organdie over white silk
and carried a shower baguet of white
roses. Both bride and groom were
unattended. Mr. and Mrs. McLean
will spend a few days quietly at Mt.
Clemens mineral springs, Michigan.
The groom is a son of Ltev. Dr. Mc-
Lean, formerly of Blyth, and before
entering the Presbyterian ministry
graduated from Toronto University

ORrr.—Mrs, Lucinda White, beloved
wife of David Riunohr, cried at her
Mollie at the North end early Thursday
morning, Sept. 24th, the direct cause
of her death being acute dysentery.
The deceased was born 78 years ago
