A party of pleasure seekers left
Goderich Monday morning for a fort-
night's fishing at Johnston's Harbor
and Pike Bay. The party went up on
the Bruce, a gasoline boat owned: by
John Bruce. The party consists of
John Tait, Arthue McLean, Charles
Smith, Charles Videau and Montague
Colbourne and the owner of the boat,
John Bruth.
On Scitsirday afternoon the girls of
the Jackson Bros.' clothing manufac-
tory had a jolly time itt. Point Farm.
There were seventeen damsels in the
party an21 they put in a good time
playing croquet and other games.
They had theit. supper on the lawn of
the Point Farm Hotel in picnic style
and returned to town about 10 o'clock.
The girls had intend.ed going to Bay-
field, loot found that the storm of the

nual Garden Party of St David's
church Heefryn which was held. on
Mrs. Rowland's lawn. It was 8 sth-
pessful etiO pleasant gathevieg, a good
supper was served in St. David's Hall
followed by a choice program. Pro-

July 1st, aged 80 years. Deceased
lady lived in this section a number of
years ago. Mrs. Isbister visited with
her mother in Montana last Simmer.

"Heath School of Engineerings" Win-
nipeg.. He took up the course by cor-

Miss Ada Ross, daughter of Rev, Dr.
Ross, Port Dalhousie, formerly of Brus-
sels, has been engaged as first assistant

graduate in the Faculty Of Education of
the University of Toronse. She holds a
first-class professional certificate and is
entitled to a high school assistant's cer-
tificate when she reaches the prescribed
age. Miss Ross is a clever ''yoting lady,
Misses Ford, of Lucknow, who by the
way are twins, were visiting in town on
Saturday, Miss Kate has applied for the
