nothing. The salary and expenses at
Inspector, ezpeuses of commissioners
and office rent have largely increased
uuder the Whitney Guvernment, In
1904-5 under the Ross administration

For some time a movement has been
ott foot hers to organize an Amateur
Athletic Association embracing all
kinds of sports, lacrosse, football, I
hockey, baseball, &e. It was thought i
that by uniting the different kinds the
linanerng of the different teams would
be made easier, and should one team
close the season with a surplus, it
would enter a general fond and possi-
bly be the means of helping out a
team which for the same season, was
weak financially. It was also be-
lieved that un(110' one management
any friction between teams might be
averted. Three weeks ago agenelal
meeting was held and the matter
thoroughly discussed and a 101nn11ttee
was appointed to draft 10 constitution.
Thursday night another well attended
meeting was field in the Town Hall
and after adopting
