Death of Wm. I3, Dray.
It is our sad duty this week to re,
cord the death of one of Turnberry's
oldest pioneers in the person of Wm,
$. Gray in his 76th year. Mr. Gray
died at the home of his son•in•lew Mr,
Chas, Nickel of Carrick on l+'eb, let.
Ile was born in the township of Will -
wont In the County of Waterloo, and
when 10 year; of *p Moved to lot 18,
con. 9, Turnberry where ha stood the
hardships of pioneer life, and in the
year 1$83 be was united in marriage to
Margaret Higgins of Stanley township
and together they toiled and hewed
the forest for a home for themselves
and family of six sone and three
daughters. There now are left to
mourn hie lose a sorrowing widow
three sone and two daughters, John T.
of Trenton, Man., William of London
and Alex at home, Mrs. W. 3. 1104g -
eon of Walkertown and Mrs. Chas.
Nickel of Carrick. Mr, and Mre. Gray
for forty seven long years resided in
Turnberry and in Feb. 1903 moved to
Rowigk where •they lived for eleven
years then moving to Carrick to the
home of their daughter, Mrs. Nickel
where Mr G•.ay passed peacefullj
away. The funeral on Fab;4th' to '
Wroxeter cemetery was largely at-
tended. Much sympathy le extended
to the bereaved ones.
