Mr, John L. Rbul of the Clarkebury
Trust Company says "The drink mon-
ey is finding its way into saving's ac•
counte." And so I could go on giving
the testimony of numbers of promin-
ent bankers and business men all of
whom are delighted with the working
of the new law.
It seems strange bow slow people
are in finding out that money won't
buy boots and beer. But I am almost
amazed at the taxpayers who cannot
see that they are burdened with taxes
to support the paupers and crim'uals
and take care of the wrecke caused by
the liquor traffic.

novel and perhaps effective scheme for
raising money for the Belgian Retie
Fund in the Tiverton Watchmen
"I notice there is a movement on
foot in a town in Bruce County to have
the young ladies of the city sell kisses
at $1.00 a piece in aid of the Belgian
Fund. Would it not be a good idea
to start this going in Tiverton ? We
might goone better• than this in Bruce
