--Mrs. W. Jermyn, Blue,. ale Road,
announces the engagement of her
youngest daughter Annie, to Rev. Ar-
thur Sinclair of Sarnia. Ti,e marriage
will take place about the middle of
December.
-A Christmas entertainment in con-
nection with the Whitechurch Presby-
terian Sunday School will be held on
Tuesday evening. December 23rd, at
7.30 o'clock. A splendid programme
is being prepared.
-Andie McCullough and Duncan Mc-
Gregor, two boys 8 years of age. were
smothered on Saturday at noon, in
Henry's grain elevator, at Kincardine.
They went down the chute. Both were
dead when taken out.
- Guy Bros. Minstrels played to a
full is ruse in the opera house last Thurs-
day evening. The show this year was
very good. This cornpany has been
making annual visits to Wingham for
upwards of twenty-five years.
-Mr. W. C. Kidd, of Listowel, one
of the best-known and most popular
horsemen in this country, died at his
home en Sunday afternoon at the age
of sixty-four years. Mr. Kidd had
been in poor health for some months.
---John S. Morgan has moved his
household effects to Wingham, where
he has purchased a residence. Mr,
Morgan has lived in this community for
many years and has made enough
money to place himself on easy street.
