MCKENZIE Belgrave. —Walter Green, 25 years old, brake- man, of Palmerston, met with a fatal accident at Ripley on Saturday after- noon when he lost his arm and leg. He was rushed to the Kincardine Hospital, where he died within 20 minutes. He was a native of England and intended returning this summer. —If you purpose taking a trip on the 24th of May holiday, buy your tickets from H. B. Elliott, Town Agents for the G. T. The TIMES office will be open on the evenings of 22 and 23 for the conveni- ence of those wishing to purchase tick- ets. — The children of St. Paul's Sunday School repeated their concert on Mon- day evening in the school room, a fine programme consisting of songs, music and recitations was given in a very cred- itable manner. The children deserve great credit for the splendid way in which they acquitted themselves and the teachers and officers of the school are to be congratulated on the success of their efforts. Baines was visiting for over Sunday with her sister at Pine River, Mrs. John Charters visited relatives and friends in Whitechurch and vicinity for over Sunday. Mr. Peter S. Fisher, of Toronto, and Mr. C. J. Graham, of London, were in town on Tuesday. Mrs. E. Mahood, Miss Helen Graham and Mrs Jno. Charters were visiting in Goderieh this week. Rev. Fr. Laurandeau, of London was c ailing on old friends in Wingham for a few days last week. Mr. Elmo AlcAndlers, of East Williams was visiting for a few days with his uncle, Mr. J. W. Dodd. Mrs. Haslam has returned home from Devil's Lake, North Dakota, where she spent the past few months. Mr, John R. Martin, who has been a member of the Timns staff for some time has returned to his home in Ripley Mr, F. Buchanan was in Goderich on Tuesday attending a meeting of the Huron County Temperance Association. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Paterson and Miss Eva Patterson were visiting for over Sunday with Mrs. and Mrs. Robt. Patterson, at Kincardine. Mrs John Glenn, who with her hus- band has been making their home with their daughter, Mrs. G. Spotton, of Wingham, returned home Tuesday. Mr. Glenn returned last week.—Listowel Banner. Town League Organized. The town baseball league was re- organized at an enthusiastic meeting held on Friday last. Boyce; President, L. F. Binkley; Vice President, R. A. Currie; Sec,-Treas., R. J. Brooks. It was decided to play the opening game on the Town Park -on Tuesday evening, May 20th. The Grand Trunk Railway System is putting on a new train from Toronto to Muskoka Wharf, commencing Saturday, May 17th, leaving Toronto 10.15 a. m. daily, except Sunday, arriving Muskoka Wharf 1.40 p. in. making direct connec- tion with steamers for all points on Muskoka Lakes. A brand new train, consisting of bag- gage car, Vestibule Coaches, and parlor - Library -Buffet car will be operated and passengers are assured of a comfortable ride along the most interesting route to Muskoka Wharf, which is the original gateway to the far-famed Muskoka Lakes. This train runs right to side of steam- er at Muskoka Wharf, thus avoiding any inconvenience to passengers. Return connection is made with train leaving Muskoka Wharf at 10.4:3 a. m, daily, except Sunday, arriving Toronto 3.10 p. m.
