Mcnotoray of W man's Work
Ilow is the woman with the cart's, worry
and work of a home to get well when she feels
that her strength ii; being overtaxed and that
nervous prostration is slowly but surer' creep-
ing upon -her ?
It is often monotony that breaks down the
nervous system, and woman's work is above all
else monotonous. Doing the same thing Clay
after day has a wearing and depressing effect
on both body and mind.
It is easy for doctors to advise change of
scene and work, but how few women with
families about them can follow such advice. The
cure must be brought to them, and no treat-
ment has ever proved more satisfactory un-
der these conditions than Dr. Chase's Nerve
Food.
By increasing the red corpuscles in the
blood this great food cure builds up the sys-
tem and restores vitality to the wasted nerves.
Gradually and certainly it brings back the
courage and strength which have been slowly
ebbing away. Unlike stimulating medicines, its
benefits to the system are both thorough and
lasting.
Nervous prostration does not come an you
without warning. Some of the signals of dan-
ger are tired feelings and a disitu'Iivatiou t D
attend to the duties of the day; nervous head-
aches, feelings of depression and discoura ,ge-
ment, nervous indigestion, neuralgic and sciati r
pains and general lack of energy and anibi-
tion. Some women become hysterical and have
spells of crying. Others are peevish and irri-
table 'and easily upset by a little extra strain
or excitement.
Some patience and perseverance is neces-
sary in the treatment of diseases of the
nerves, but you will not be using Dr. Chase's
Nerve Food long before you can note signs of
improvement, and will be encouraged to keep
up the treatment until thoroughly cured.
Mrs. Edwin Martin, Ayer's Cliff, Que., writes, ---
"Before I began taking your Nerve Food I was in
a terrible condition; dizzy spells came over me, and
I would fall to the floor and I could not as much
as sweep the floor without fainting unless the:^
took me out in the air. Now I can wash and work
a lot, and your medicine helped me when the
doctors failed. I felt as though it was a God-
send to me.
"I hope you will use my name wherever you
like, so that if there are any others suffering
as I have done, they may be benefited by using
your medicine, for it will do all it claims to do. I
think it is the best of medicines. Dr. Chase's
Ointment Is the best that can be had for piles."

How Concrete
Work Was .'Ia

taiisfact.rr co»crier errs,&
NTIL a few years ago farmers considered concrete a rather
mysterious material, that could be used successfully only by
experts. They knew that upon the quality of the cement
depended much of the success of concrete work. They had no
means of testing cement, such as big contractors employ, and sosould
net be sure of its quality.
Yet the farmer needed concrete.
He was kept from using this best and most economical of materials by
1. Lack of knowledge of how to mei and place concrete.
2. Lack of a brand of cement upon the quality of which he
could absolutely rely.
Canada Cement
has suppliedboth these requirements,
We employed men to make a thorough investigation of the farmers
requirements; to find out where and how he could use concrete with
profit to himself; to discover all problems he might come across and to
solve them. This investigation was expensive. But when it was
completed we had the material for our campaign to show the fanner
how and where to use concrete,"and we printed a book, "What the
Fanner Can do With Concrete," for free distribution. That book
makes every fanner who reads it a concrete expert, as far as his needs
are concerned. He finds that there is nothing mysterious about con-
crete - that a few zimple rules supply all the knowledge required.
At the same time we met the farmers' second objection --inability to
teat the quality el cement •--by producing cement of a quality that
does not need to be tested.
The Canada Cement that you buy by the bag is the salve Canada
Cement that is sold by the train -load for great elevators, buildings and
bridges.

In the last few years, says the Edin
burgh Scotsman, the value of property
ih Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and
Edinburgh has declined in value from
15 per cent to 25 per cent. Three
chief causes are given for this decline:
(1) over -building ten years ago. (2)
emigration from the country, which
has diminished the growth of population
at home; (3) the increasing value of
money.
