World's Biggest Sign.
What le presttuaably the largest kigu
in the world, was recently conetructed
on the east bank of the Coltiuubia
River, just above the town of Beverly.
From the windows of passing trains, it
catches the eye of the traveller, and
may be easily seen for a distance of
several miles. The sign is nearly a
quarter of a mile long ; the letters are
40 ft. wide and 100 ,feet high,
Carload Pianos Burned.
A week or so ago, The. Doherty
Piano and Organ Company shipped a
carload of pianos to Winnipeg for the
Christmas trade. in order to pre-
serve the fine tone for which the
pianos turned out by this Company
are noted, a coil -oil stove was placed
in the ear to keep an even tempera-
ture, but at Bark's Falls fire broke
out, and the car and pianos went up in
smoke. It is supposed heavy shunt-
ing toppled over the heater, but
whatever the cause, the instruments
have disappeared. They were insured,
but even at that the Company is a

causing the flames to ignite with her
clothing, which war almost entirely

help at hand, the girl was obliged to
extinguish the fire herself, which she
eventually succeeded in doing, but not
before, however, she had been terribly

THE WINGUAM ADVANCE
ACTUAL STARVATION.
Facts About Indigestion And Its
Relief That Should In-
terest You.
Although, iedl flestion and Dy-
spepsia are sq prevalent, most people
do not thoroughly understand their
causo and cure. There Is no reason
why most people should not eat any-
thing they desire—If they will only
chew it carefully and. thoroughly,
Many actually starve themselves Into
sickness through fear of eating every
good-looking, good -smelling, and good,
tasting food, because it does not agree
with them.
The best thing to do is to fit your,
eelf to digest any good food.
We believe we can relieve Dyspep-
sia. We are so confident of this fact
that we guarantee and promise to
supply the medicine free of all cost
to every one who will use it, who .ls
not perfectly satisfied with the results
which it produces. We exact no pro-
mises, and put no one under any
obligation whatever. Surely, noth-
ing could be fairer. We are located
right here and our reputation should
be sufficient assurance of the genuine-
ness of our offer.
We want every one troubled with
Indigestion or Dyspepsia in any form
to come to our store and buy a box of
Rexall Dyspepsia Tablets. Take them
home and give them a reasonable trial
according to directions. Then, if not
eatisfied, tome to us and get your
money back. They are very pleasant
to take; they aid to soothe the ir-
ritable stomach, to strengthen and
invigorate the digestive organs, and to
promote a healthy and natural bowel
action, thus Ieading to perfect and
healthy digestion and assimilation.
A 25c package of Rexall Dyspepsia
Tablets furnishes 15 days' treatment.
In ordinary cases, this is sufficient to
produce a cure. In more chronic
cases, a longer treatment, of course, is
necessary, and depends upon the
severity of the trouble. For such
eases, we have two larger sizes which
sell for 50a and $1..00. Remember,
you can obtain Rexall Remedies in
this community only at our store.

Cold sorer, chapped hands, ulcers,
and winter eczema are common trou-
blesjust now, and for all these, Z.im-
Buk will 'be found the surest and
quickest remedy. Sometimes cold
sores arise from chilblains on the toes
or fingers, and in the former case,
where colored socks are worn, there is
a danger of blood -poisoning from the
dye. Zam-Buk being so powerfully
antiseptic removes the danger as soon
as applied and quickly heals.
Mr. W. J. Halliday of Ash Grove,
Ont., says ;—"I had my little finger
frozen, and it cracked at the first
joint, causing a bad .sore;, which dis-
charged,freely and would not heal.
The pain was very bad, and the whole
of my hand became swollen and in
bad shape. "A friend advised me to
try Zam•Buk,"and I soon found that
Zam-Buk was altogether different to
any preparalion I had ever tried. In
a very short time it healed the sore."
Miss Lillie May of Stoney Creek,
Ont., says :—"A few weeks since, sev-
eral nasty, disfiguring cold sores sud-
dedly broke out on my lips, which be-
came much swollen. Seeing my con-
dition. a friend advised me ' to try
Zam•Buk and leave all other prepare,-
tions
reparetions aside, This I did, and was much
pleased. after a few applications of
this balm, to see every 'sore healed."
Zxm-Buk will also be found a sure
core for eczema, blood -poison, vari-
cose scree, piles, scalp sores, ring-
worm, inflamed patches, babies' erup-
tions and chapped places, cuts, burns,
brutes, and skin injuries generally.
All druggists and stores sell at 50e a

A Mitt Did This.
The Orangeville papers report the
following: ---"qtr, Ben 'Patterson re-
ceived a small scratch on one of his
knuckles a week or so ago, which did
not amount to any thing seriously;
but he purchased a pair of colored
mitte and the color poisoned the sore.
Mr. Patterson was working for Mr.
Wm. Patterson, near Laurel, but
whets taken 111 was taken to the Koine
of Mr, Lugsdlo, manager of the Bank
of Commerce here, where his daughter
is working. Death came as a relief to
the sufferer on Monday."
Progress Reported.
Telegraphic advice has been receiv-
ed at Grand Trunk headquartersto
the effect that the main line of steel
on. the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway
had -passed the Great Divide between
Alberta and British Columbia, Rapid
progress will now be made with the
line in British Columbia, as this ex-
tension carries the work well into the
mountain division and completes 1,044
miles of main line track west of Win-
nipeg. The Great Divide is 250 miles
weet of Edmonton.
The Costliest Kitchen.
Who keeps the costliest kitchen in
the world? Not, as one might ima-
gine, the American millionaire, but
the Shah of Persia. The utensils, fit-
tings and furnishings of the Shah are
said to be worth $2,050,000. Every
saucepan is gilded inside, and the
dishes appearing on his table are of
solid gold, as well as the spoons,
knives, and folks, the handles of
which are besides ornamented with
precious stones. Moreover, the chef,
inpreparing dishes for the Shah's
table, must use none but silver spoons
and forks, and any dish on which he
puts cold viands to keep them must be
also of silver, gilded inside.
World's Biggest Cheese.
The world's largest cheese, 8 feet
In diameter and 5 feat high, weighing
slightly over 12,000 pounds, was re-
cently manufactured at Appleton,
Wis., the services of more than forty
expert cheesemakers and their experi-
enced helpers being required for the
job. The November Popular Mechanics
Magazine says ;—"The cheese which
was made for exhibition at the
National Dairy show at Chicago, con-
tained exactly 12,000 pounds of cord,
330 pounds of salt, and thirty-one
pounds of rennet, making the finished
product weigh 12,801 pounds, three
times larger than the biggest .cheese
ever before manufactured. The curd
came from thirty-two different cheese
factories, and the milk, 18,000 gallons
in quantity, from over 1200 farmers
and was produced by 8000 pure-bred
Holstein and Guernsey cows valued at
$1,500,000. The greatest care had to
be taken to insure the curd being
uniform."

Learn why URITY
FLOUR is unlike any
other brand
PURITY FLOUR is unlike any other brand of flour. •
No two milling companies follow exactly the same
process of milling. In fact, no two different brands
of flour in the world are exactly alike in quality.
And here is another fact worth knowing: Every wheat berry
contains both high-grade and low-grade por-
tions.
...The process of milling PURITY flour costs
more than to mill ordinary flour. The low-
grade portions are separated and excluded. '
PURITY is an ALL HIGnI-GRADE, hard.
wheat flour. It has greater strength, greater
absorption and greater expansion. It is a
thirstier, more elastic flour. It drinks more
Water and expands into more loaves.
Use PURITY FLOUR for your next batch
of bread. Count the loaves. You'll find
you have made "MORE BREAD AND
BETTER BREAD " from PURITY than
when you've used an equal weight of weaker
and cheaper flour.
"More bread and better bread"
IMAGINE, if you can, how much whiter, and more tooth-
some, and more nutritious, the bread made from such a
HIGH-GRADE flour must be.
And can you imagine yourself enjoying the
flaky pie -crust and the light, delicate cake?
—your reward for using PURITY flour
When making pastry, please remember to
add more shortening than •required with
ordinary flour—for on account of its extra
strength, PURITY FLOUR requires more
shortening for best pastry -results
Yes, PURITY FLOUR costs slightly more
than ordinary flour. But use it once and
you'll say it's worth more --much more—
than lits difference.
Add PURITY FLOUR to your grocery list
right now.
