Nov 3 Plowing and making a dog house. Rainy all day Nov 4 * 1. A plant, Brassica napus, of the mustard family, whose leaves are used for food for hogs, sheep, etc., and whose seeds yield rape oil. 2. The residue of grapes, after the juice has been extracted, used as a filter in making vinegar. Plowing all day. Weather moderate. Paid in Clinton for goods $6.36 also paid to Mary Charlie for cotton yarn 88¢ Nov 6 In the forenoon helping Aikenhead to kill a pig in the afternoon did nothing on account of the rain which fell steady all day Nov 7 Plowed a little sod and pulled some turnips.
