Save the Hospital Fund
After a discussion in com-
mittee of the whole Monday, Oct.
1, Morris council decided to turn
thumbs down to a request for its
support of the 'Save the Hospital
Fund'.
The decision came after Isabel
Garniss approached council as a
representative of the hospital
board of governors. She ex-
plained that as a result of recent
government , cutbacks at
the board will go to court against
the Ontario health mihistry and
will need approximately $50,000
to pay legal fees. -
After telling council she per-
sonally voted against taking
court action and "there has never
been a case when they've had to
turn anyone away", council went
into- committee of the whole to
discuss the matter.
