In tournament
The Wingham Police slow pitch
team won the consolation
championship and $100 at the
Listowel Ideal Supply Tour-
nament last weekend.
The local team went to the
consolation round after it
dropped its first game of the
tournament 14-4 to the Atwood
Cheese Factory squad.
The police team won its next
three games, 9-5 over Walton, 9.4
over The Boys from Listowel and
12-6 over Moorefield to win the
consolation prize.
Team members who competed
in the tournament were Dave
Ablett, Jack Goodalt, John
Jessup, Ken Murray, Tom
Creeden, Bill Robinson, Doug
Foxton, Carl Ricker, Ed Daer,
John Nolan, Ken Balzer, Norm
Richards, Phil Beard and Dave
