Brownie corner
On May 24 the senior Brownies
went on a dinner hike at the
Procter farm. After some games
the girls, had hot dogs, pop,
marshmallows and cookies. Anne
Procter took the Brownies on a
short hike. Mr. R. Procter then
helped the Brownies ride some
horses. Later the Brownies were
Shown how the horses can round
up, cattle.
We all want to thank' Mr. and
Mrs. R. Procter and their
daughter for making the day
such a success.,
Bridge results
Elaine Colvin and Mrs. Jo
English placed first in the east
and west division in Wingham
Bridge Club play last Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Harley Crawford
placed second.

were in third place and Lillian
Brooks and Aldene McKenzie
played to fourth place.
In the north -south division
Louise Welwood and Janet Day
ended up in first place for the
week, Jean Hodgins and Connie
McMinn were second and Mary
Lloyd and Yvonne McPherson
were third.

Placed fourth in the division.
THE RAIN Saturday morning didn't stop the Wingham Recreation Department's cen-
tennial jogfest. A total of 69 joggers took to the streets just for fun, knowing there were no
prizes to be.won. Merle Underwood is shown getting her certificate nemingher, an entrant
in the jogfest and stating the time she completed the two -kilometre course. Nancy Inwood
takes down the information while Ruth Orien holds an umbrella.
GOLFING WINNER—Dick Eskerod of Wingham won the 2nd annual Brookhaven Men's
Open golf tournament here on Sunday with a net score of 66. Roger Keay of Brookhaven
Nursing Home presented him with the winner's trophy. In second place, also with a not
score6f 66 but with more strokes on the final hole, was BIII Deans, while BIII Kerr came in
third with a net of 67.
