APRIL 27-28-29 SENIOR LADIES The Senior Ladies bowling league closed its season with a fun day of bowling Monday af- ternoon. Following this they went to the Presbyterian church where the ladies served a delicious dinner. Mrs. Lockwood, the president, then took charge and prizes were awarded to the team and individual winners for the season. The slate of officers for the next season was presented. They are as follows: President, Mrs. W. Lockwood; vice president, Mrs. M. Hastings; secretary, Mrs. Lillian Newman; assistant secretary, Mrs. M. Robertson; treasurer, Mrs. E. Montgomery; assistant treasurer, Mrs. M. Merkley; press secretary, Mrs. E. Congram; assistant, Mrs. V. Murray; goodwill secretary, Mrs. E. Harris. The ladies then went to the town hall where they enjoyed a social time of euchre. HIGH SCORE R—Les Thompson was the high scorer for the dart league this year with total of 171 on three darts. Grace Netterfield won the ladies' high prize and Gene Porter won the men's high. Ivy Riehl was low lady and Randy Netterfield was low man. Phyllis Baker won the door prize. Convenors for the party t were Mrs. Carl Freiburger and Mrs. Raymond Schmidt. A card party was held at the Sacred Heart Church April 17 with 14 tables in play. High lady was Emmeline Gowdy and low lady was Mima Newton; high man was Fred Porter and low man was Bill Tiffin. The door prize was won by Herb Clayton. Bridge results The team of Kay Forgie and Nan McYjbbon was first in Wingham Bridge Club play last Thursday. Elaine Colvin and Omar Haselgrove were in second, while the team of Yvonne McPherson and May Porter was third. Bernice Crawford and Norma Parker played to fourth place. wWj hem Advance -Timm.
