from the Fordwich- Masonic
Lodge took part in the North
Huron District Son4pial held
Saturday in the Delmore Com-
munity Centre.
Jack Inglis skipped his rink to a '
win in the 9 o'clock draw. Other
rink members were Doug and
Paul Inglis and Everett Dustow.
Mac. Inglisskipped Lloyd
Nickel, Norman =and Cecil
Wilson to a win in the 11 o'clock
draw. Team members were also
overall winners of the day and
received a trophy for their
curling efforts. They beat out
about 112 curlers for• the win.
The local rink of Ron Shelley,
Jack Ruttan, Morley Johnson
and Carl Stewart placed fourth in
the bonspiel.

The return of all of last year's

some old ones and a 32 -team, 40 -
game ichedule will highlight the
annual Wingham Midget Hockey
Tournament March 16-18 and 22-
25.
The tournament is the same
size as last year's and is again
spread over two weekends.
Orillia, winners of the AAA
division of the 1978 tournament,
are back. So are consolation
winners Owen Sound. Waterloo,
always a strong AAA team in the
tournament, will be here again.
Fraser, Michigan, will again be
represented by an AAA team.
New teams in the division are
Roseville, Dearborn and Detroit.
Midget AAA action will start
Saturday, March 17, at 9 a.m. and
continue throughout the day. Tht
AAA championship will be MarElr
18 at 8:30 p.m.
The Midget C schedule starts
the first weekend with a game
between the Wingham Lions

Last year's Midget B champs,
Listowel, had the easiest route to
a championship in the 1978
tournament, with a'7-2 win over
Kincardine, a 13-5 demolishing of
Beamsville and a 5.0 shutout of
Merriton.
Listowel will again be at the
tournament, as will last year's
consolation champs, Exeter.
Other teams returning for the
Midget B action in the tour-
nament are Merriton, 'Kin-
cardine, Exeter and Beamville.
New entries' this year are
Penetang and Bolton.
