ACHIEVEMENT DAY for the Gorrie area was held in the Howick Central School on
Saturday, November 13. Carol Anne Behrns, RR 1, Wroxeter, and Beth Payne, Gorrie,
received their Advanced Honours certificates for the completion of 18 clubs. Miss,
Pengally, home economist, presented each of the girls with a silver pie server.
FEATURING WHEAT—At Achievement Day for the Gorrie Area there was a variety of
exhibits and skits for the members, leaders and their friends to enjoy during the
afternoon. Fordwich I set up this display featuring wheat illustrating the grain from its
seed stage to the end products which we serve on the table. Here Miss Pengally, home
economist, and Donna Harding of the Fordwich I group glance at the wheat kernel and
corresponding nutrients.
