Plowmen ask
improved roads
for IPM area
Turnberry Township Council,
at its October 4 meeting, con-
sidered a request from the Huron
County Plowmen's Association to
improve roads in the area of the
1978 Plowing Match, especially
the construction of a new bridge
on the B Line. Council sub-
sequently decided to petition the
Ministry of Transport and
Communications for approval to
start preliminary planning in
1976 and also to ask for a supple-
mentary allocation of money to
pay for the over spending of the
1976 budget.
Council approved severance
applications from J Deans and
the CNR building permits
totaling $48,000 were approved.
Time and a half overtime pay-
ment was approved for the roads
department for time worked in
excess of 4511 hours per week.
Council also approved a grant of
$200 to the How•ick Fall Fair
Board.
Accounts approved for pay-
ment were, general and drainage
$6,900: roads 59.250.
