Mrs. James C. Johnston Satur-
day evening on the occasion of
their 40th wedding anniversary,
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Johnston.
After a buffet luncheon an
address was read by Mrs. Don
Street and gifts of a lamp, salt
and peppers, -and ha►►&ng planter
were presented by W. J. Peacock
and Flemming Johnston.
Both Anna and Jim expressed
thanks for the gifts and the
pleasant evening.

LOSE TO BELGRAVE
BLUEVALE — In Juvenile
Girls' baseball last Monday night
Bluevale defeated Belgrave 30-
13.
Wednesday night in Belgrave
the game was called in the sixth
inning because of darkness with
Belgrave winning 24-18.
The games this week will be
played Monday night in Blugvale,
Wednesday night in Brussels and
Friday night in $luevale.

A shower was held in the honor
of Miss Mary Lou Milligan at the
home of her aunt, Mrs. Lloyd Dy-
ment of Streetsville, on August 4.
The bride-to-be accepted many
lovely gifts for their home includ-
ing glass -ware, kitchen goods and
household necessities.
A hat was made of the bows
which Mary Lou wore. She thank-
ed her aunt for arranging the
shower and her relatives for
coming and for their thoughtful
gifts. A dainty fruit lunch was
