A TROPICAL THEME provided the setting at F. E. Madill's formal, held Friday night.
Silver stars hung from the ceiling, a huge volcano sat in the centre of the dance floor,
there were painted tropical scenes, rocks, trees and bushes and a sun made from crepe
paper. Some of the students attending were, right to left, Rick Currah, Sandra Currie,
Brenda Johnston and Jams Hanna

School Daze
It is the hope and dream of
every teacher to instill into the
students some worthwhile knowl-
edge. These words of wisdom
were passed on to the Chemistry
551 class; "Never worry about
what to do in the future when you
have tomorrow to worry about".
One student mulled this over in
her mind for a few moments, then
thoughtfully said, "I guess he
means that we're supposed to
procrastinate."
The English class was told that
the analysis of people is very dif-
ficult, mainly due to the individ-
ual make-up of one's genes. And
little wonder with all the different
kinds today, blue jeans, brown
jeans, green jeans. .._
On Monday night all of those so
called "ankle biting" Grade
Eighters came to visit the school.
To get them more acquainted
with the workings of the school,
j they were given jf guided tours. One rough, tough little guy, who
was obviously getting bored with
the whole ordeal, said to the
guide, "As long as you show us
where the important things are,
the washroom and cafeteria; we
can get along alright from
there."
