attend conference
"Christian Leadership" was
the theme of the 52nd annual
meeting of London Conference of
the United Church of Canada held
recently at the University of
Windsor.
The theme speaker, Rev. Ro-
bert W. Mumford, professor of
theology at Queen's Theological
College, Kingston, said that
"leadership too often is defined
and confined by tradition. The
past takes on a rosy glow," he
said, "and people cling to it like a
lifeline."
Another highlight of the session
was a task force on poverty,
many situations portrayed by
actors. Dialogue with social
workers pointed out the many
areas in which improvements are
needed in denfinn with the rnx►r.
