Thankoffering of the United
Church Women was held Sunday
morning with Rev. Wesley Ball
as speaker. Mrs. Dorothy McGee
read scripture from the 21st
chapter of John's Gospel., Mrs.
Joy Wylie and Mrs. Sally Allan
received the offering. The choir
sang the anthem, "He's Back in
the Land of the Laving", accom-
panied by Mrs. E. Martin, organ-
ist.
Mr. Ball's post -Easter theme
took the congregation to the Sea
of Tiberias where the Risen Lord
Appeared to Peter and the other
disciples as they were fishing.
Memories returned to three
years before when'Jesus, begin-
ning his ministry, called these
same men from their fishermen's
nets to link their lives with His
and become fishers of men.
In one of the most memorable
moments Jesus spent with Peter,
He asked, "Do you love Me?".
After asking the question three
times, Jesus received the an-
swer, "Lord, You know my
heart."
The challenge made by Jesus to
His disciples was "Feed My
Sheep" and this is the challenge
to the Christian world today. "If
we love Jesus it will radiate from
our being and we will be a living
witness."
