Unit meets at
Nicholson home
BLUEVALE — Unit One of the
United Church Women met at the
home of Mrs. Jack Nicholson on
Tuesday afternoon and spent the
afternoon quilting for Miss Barb
Stainton.
Mrs. Nicholson chose for her
devotions the topic, "It is the lit-
tle things in life that create dif-
ferences," with scripture pass-
ages from Psalm 8.
Plans were made for the wor-
ship service for the central meet-
ing of the UCW on April 7. An in-
vitation to attend the Presby-
terian Thankoffering meeting on
April 6 with Rev. Wilena Brown
guest speaker, was acknowledg-
ed. Invitations were also received
from Brussels, Wingham and
Whitechurch.
Mrs. Graham Campbell will be
hostess for the next meeting.
Couple celebrate
50th anniversary
Friends and neighbors ga-

1926. They have two daughters.
