Ontario NOG 2W0 Telephone: 357-1923 The Wingham Advance -Times, June 22, 1983—Page 7 Levi G engaged in varied work during lifetime A man who worked hard at a variety of jobs throughout his lifetime Levi Good of Chateau Gardens Retire- ;; ment Community, Hanover, passed away Tuesday, June 14, at Wingham and District Hospital. He was in his 76th year. Mr. Good was born in Culross Township on Sep- tember 24, 1907, a son of the late Levi Good and Rosetta Kenzie. He attended school in Greenock Township and in the 1920s went to the United States where he worked as a roofing contractor in Detroit, Michigan. He returned to Canada in 1933 and from 1937 until 1956 he worked as a log, lumber and wood dealer. He was engaged in farming four years, then worked with his son in the restaurant business in Wingham from 1960 until 1965. He returned to farming that year, retiring to Ripley in 1970. In 1929 on November 23, Mr. Good married the for- mer Kathleen Herrington of Byron in Detroit. She sur- vives urvives to mourn his passing, with one son, Israel Good of Wingham, seven grand- children, one great grandson and one sister, Mrs. George (Pauline) Yeomans of Oshawa. He was prede- ceased by one sister and one brother. The late Levi Good rested at The Currie -Walker Funeral Home, Wingham, until Thursday when service was conducted at two o'clock by Rev. Victor Grieco. In- terment followed in Wingham Cemetery. Former resident of Fordwich area dies In 60th yr. John James Gibson. formerly of the Fordwiicb area, passed away Thurs- day, hawsday, June 9, at the Rich- mond ickmond Hill Hospital in his 60th year.
