Grade 13
On Monday, June 6, at 7
p.m. at the Wingham Golf
and Curling Club the Grade
13s held their annual ban-
quet. The food was excellent
and very well -appreciated!
The dresses and suits worn
by the students were chic,
elegant and colorful!
After the meal, a program
of songs (Brenda Mann, Jen-
nifer Drennan, Pan" Shaw
and Sheila Anderson; Beth
Gingrich; Caroline Mulvey),
tap dancing (Karen
McMichael and Jacquie
Robertson), and step -sisters
tap dancing (Murray de Vos,
Stewart Cardiff, Allan Eadie
and Darryl Holmes) with
back-up music played by
Ken Deichert, Dale Gilchrist
and Al Keiffer was enjoyed
by all. Darryl Holmes was
master of ceremonies.
Gayle and Patty also did
their little bit of comedy in
the form of a poem and a
repertoire of how they de-
nquet much enjoyed
cided on what they would do
for the evening at the ban-
quet — remember they were
given only five minutes for
their little part — this they
made sure everyone under-
stood!
The evening was climaxed
by a niggling little speech
made by Liz Wilkins. She
gave an account of every
student graduating from
Madill who was present at
the banquet, including the
teachers present — and Mr.
Hawkins who was not
present!
A dance followed for which
the said Mr. Hawkins ap-
peared and had several
terrific dances with several
wonderful Grade 13 girls.
With the dance ended, many
enjoyed a party at the home
of Michelle Thomson — I
heard some never went to
