TheatriCal productions to
be featured this year are
"On Golden Pond", the story
of an elderly man who feels
useless and bitter in his
advanced years, opening the
season June 21; another Neil
Simon comedy, "California
Suite", events that take
place over a period of time in
the same Beverly Hills
Hotel ; "Miracle Worker",
the story of Helen Keller and
the teacher who makes a
new person out of her; a
comedy by Alan Ayckbourn,
"How The Other Half
Lives"; and the ambitious
musical of theear, Rodgers
and Hammerstein's "South
Pacific". Tickets for that
production especially will be
snatched up in record time.
Tickets are also available
for the three musicals on the
new Playhouse II stage,
John Gray's "18 Wheels",
"The Return of the Curse of
the Mummy's Revenge" and
"Eight to the Bar"; and the
three Sunday concerts, The
Family Brown on June 26;
Moe Koffman on July 24 and
the Nylons August 7.

Progressive Conservatives
meet in Ottawa to choose a
leader. Last week, on the
official closing date for
declaration, eight- had
declared' themselves can-
didates for the position.
Coverage will begin at 5 p.m.
Friday, June 10, for the
candidates' speeches which
will run well into the
evening. Resuming at 11.
a.m. Sunday, the CBC will
stay at the convention until
voting has ended and a new
leader has been chosen - - -
another day in history that
the ordinary Canadian can
watch from a ringside seat,
