The Wroxeter Parks Board held its first flea market over the weekend. .The weatherman cooperated on Saturday for the 12 vendors who set up their tables in the ball park. Despite the rain Sunday, eight vendors participated. The parks board has planned more markets for the last weekends of June, July, August andSeptember. September. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Robinson arrived home Sunday evening from a trip to Fernie, B.C., and to Calgary, Alberta, where they visited Brian Robinson. Mrs. Elmer Farristi and Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Farrish attended the funeral of the former's sister, Mrs. Long of Holstein. Mrs. Sheldon Mann and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCallum of Wingham attended the funeral of their cousin, the late Wilfred Bush of Owen Sound. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Strong attended the funeral of their uncle, Telford Montgomery, at the T. Girls' ball team honors bride-to-be FORDWICH — The girls' softball team entertained for a miscellaneous shower last Wednesday night in the hall in honor of Debbie Fallis. Several musical numbers were performed by Anne Robinson and Pat Buchanan. There were contests and a reading by Mrs. Cecil Wilson after which Mrs. Murray Wilson expressed best wishes to the bride. Mrs. Myrtle Smith at- tended the annual reunion of the Seventh Medium Regimental Association of the Royal Canadian Artillery held in the Listowel Armouries last Saturday. Approximately 180 attended the dinner and dance. Sunday, the parade to the cenotaph was led by the Listowel Legion Pipe Band. Marjorie Bremner and Ralph Slater of Winnipeg, Manitoba, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
