The Wroxeter Parks Board
held its first flea market
over the weekend. .The
weatherman cooperated on
Saturday for the 12 vendors
who set up their tables in the
ball park. Despite the rain
Sunday, eight vendors
participated. The parks
board has planned more
markets for the last
weekends of June, July,
August andSeptember.

card party for this season,
sponsored by Fordwich
Women's Institute, was held
May 27 in the community
hall.

scores, Mrs. Pearl Bartipan
and Mrs. Allan Kennedy

Girls' ball
team honors
bride-to-be
FORDWICH — The girls'
softball team entertained for
a miscellaneous shower last
Wednesday night in the hall
in honor of Debbie Fallis.
Several musical numbers
were performed by Anne
Robinson and Pat Buchanan.
There were contests and a
reading by Mrs. Cecil Wilson
after which Mrs. Murray
Wilson expressed best
wishes to the bride.
After being presented with
her gifts, Miss Fallis
thanked everyone and lunch
was served.

held in the Listowel
Armouries last Saturday.
Approximately 180 attended
the dinner and dance.
Sunday, the parade to the
cenotaph was led by the
Listowel Legion Pipe Band.

Baptism held
for Mali infant
BELGRAVE — The
baptism .of Michael Louis,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Mali of RR 3, Holyrood, took
place at Lucknow United
Church on Sunday, May 29.
Following the service rela-
tives gathered at the home of
Jack and Doreen for dinner.
