Kim Laidlaw and Tony Falconer from the village are band members. Lana Craig won first prize at Walkerton last Thursday for her singing. Mr. and Mrs. Relison Falconer of Sarnia visited Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Cassie Mowbray. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Irwin and Cody of Lucknow visited Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Milligan. Quite a few from the / village are busy trout fishing in the nearby trout streams. Last Saturday evening, Mr. and Mrs. John deBoer, Mr. and Mrs. Jim deBoer and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Uuldriks attended the 25th wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Bill deBoer at the Lucknow Legion Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Nicholson, Erin and Ryan of Strathroy, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John deBoer. Last Tuesday evening, the 4-H clubs held their achievement evening in Teeswater. The home economist was Mrs. Ryan, supplying for the regular P rs one, since she just had a baby boy. Attending from here were: Mrs. Rod Lamb, Mrs. Agnes Farrier and Mrs. Kevin Falconer. Kendra Purdon received her provincial honors and six local girls received their spoons and got their books signed. The home economist said the Whitechurch presentation was an ex- cellent one. The next club is "Looking Good, Feeling Great". Mother's Day visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott and Karen were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw, Jason and Michelle of London, and Mrs. ' Agnes Elliott of als Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Boon- stra, Waneeta and Ruth Ann of Wingham, took Mrs. Bill Uuldriks, his mother, to the restaurant Friday evening in honor of Mother's Day. Mr. Uuldriks went too. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Laidlaw of Lucknow visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw. Mother's Day visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw were Mr, and Mrs. Tom Vannus, London, for the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw, Jason and Michelle, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ducharme, Goderich. The sale was spon- sored by the local Catholic Parent-Teacher Association. COREY'S CUBS were the consolation playoff champions in this year's Wednesday Night Ladies' bowling league. They were presented with their trophies at an•!.wards night held last Wednesday at the Wingham Legion. Team members are: back, Diane English, Louise Welwood, Jean King; front, Ernestine Kenyon and Corey McInnes. Absent from the photo is Michele Foxton. .
