Mr. and Mrs. Robin Bolander and Leroy at- tended the convention of the Shoe Service Institute of America, held in Cincinnati, Ohio. While travelling, they also visited friends in Orville and Jackson, Ohio, as well as other points of interest. Over the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Bolander attended the Hill - Huber wedding in the Kit- chener area. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grainger, David and Steven of Waterloo, visited Sunday with Mrs. Cecil Grainger and with Mr. Grainger in Listowel Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Melville Beecroft of Otterville spent Friday and Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Hector Hamilton. Miss Nancy Kuehl and Jeffrey Nay of Kitchener spent the weekend with Mr. nal N•tesi and Mrs.. Bill Nay. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Foster and Mrs. Albert Foster of Galt spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Underwood. Jasper Farrish returned home Friday from Victoria Hospital, London. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Connors have purchased the former residence of'Mr. and Mrs. Ted Van Veen who have moved to Calgary, Alberta. They were commended for their fine efforts by the adjudicator, Mrs. B. Dalton. Winners in the different categories were: Grade 1 and 2 girls, Ciara McKenna, Melissa Kieffer and Miranda Bieman and Angie Ortlieb, tied for third; Grade 1 boys, Marcel Egli, Jamie Hallahan and Mark Carson and Jason Kliest, tied for third; Grade 2 boys, Patty McGlynn, Peter Albers and Jimmy Hills; Grade 3 girls, Carrie Skinn, Catherine Bird and Roxanne Cerson and Sherry Dekker, tied for third; Grade 3 boys, Jason. Kieffer, Ivan Skinn, -Jeremy McGlynn and Joey Volmer, tied for third. Gerald Benninger and Stephen Hallahan were first in the boys' duet category, with Bill Kinahan and Murray Foxton, second, and Paul Brophy and Paul Hallahan tied for third with Randy Schaefer and Barry Schaefer. Jennifer Sanders and Leah Kulas were first in the girls' duet competition, with Anne McGlynn and Tammy Kieffer and Lori Parker and ' Jennifer Sanders tied for second. Julie Koopman and Diana VanDenBroek were tied for third with Marlene Albers and Jennifer Sanders. Tammy Kieffer, Julie Koopman and Anne McGlynn were first in the girls' trio category. Marlene Albers, Lori Parker and Jennifer Sanders were second, while Tammy Kieffer, Julie Koopman and Diana VanDenBroek were third. After the presentations, Mrs. Dalton sang some songs which the students enjoyed. A special thanks goes out to her for her work.
