Registering
students
The time of year is upon us
once again when secondary
and post -secondary students
are setting their sights on.
summer employment. The
Canada Employment Centre
for students in Listowel is
open now for business,
registering students and
receiving enquiries from
employers.
Joan Oliver of Listowel is
in charge of the student
operation for 1983. She joined
the staff at the centre one
month ago and has un-
dergone training to prepare
her for the successful con-
duct of the annual summer
employment campaign.
During the next few weeks,
Miss Oliver will be visiting
employers in the area to
determine summer needs as
well as secondary schools to.
conduct student registration
sessions. Despite the present
economic situation, officials
at the Canada Employment
Centre are optimistic about
the response from the
community. Previous years'
results have proven the
genuine support and en-
couragement that all the
communities in our area
always have afforded to the
summer- student campaign.
This year appears to predict
enthusiastic support as in the
past.
The Canada Employment
Centre for students is located
at 210 Main Street East,
Listowel, Federal Building.
The telephone number is 291-
2922 and business hours are
