Lately we've been told by some of our potential customers that they "heard we don't service- our bikes. So, let's set the record straight. - We have not one, but two equipped service departments ready to look after your new or used HONDA or KAWASAKI. - Our mechanics are factory trained by ser- vice schools and continuous training exams to learn the most up to date servicing techni- ques, so that your HONDA or KAWASAKI gets serviced right the -first time. - We do all our work by appointment to en- sure the least possible "down time" for your bike. After all, you bought it to ride; not to wait for it. Call 291-1556 for an appointment at our Listowel store. - Did you know many of our service staff have won service awards from HONDA, at the regional and also the overall national ser- vice award level? These competitions take placebetween all HONDA dealershiis. Now, where would you rather buy your new HONDA or KAWASAKI from? We've been in this business for nine years p. because we service what we sell ... and we're good at it. GIVE US A TRY Mark Graven.,r - Listowel Manager CY-JO CYCLE 1 190 Wallace Ave. N. Mahatma Gandhi is the subject of a film close to four hours in length, an epic movie directed by England's Sir Richard Attenborough, years in the planning and filming. It has led the list of nominations for the 1982 Academy Awards, men- tioned in 11 categories, but it is followed closely by "Tootsie" and "E.T. - The Extra -Terrestrial". Ben Kingsley, an actor relatively unknown in North America but frequently seen in Britain on the stage and in television productions, has been nominated for the best actor Oscar for his portrayal of the strong but gentle Gandhi. Also nominated are Dustin Hoffman, the man who portrays a woman in "Tootsie"; Jack Lemmon who plays the father in "Missing"; Paul Newman, the tough lawyer from "Verdict"; and Peter O'Toole in "My Favorite Year". Best actress nominees are Julie Afndrews who played the dual role in "Victor - Victoria"; Jessica Lange who played the role of Frances Farmer in "Frances"; Sissy Spacek in "Missing" (she has already won an Oscar for her por- trayal of Loretta Lynn in "Coal -Miner's Daughter") ; Meryl Streep in "Sophie's Choice" and young actress Debra Winger in "An Officer and a Gentleman". Lange also has the distinction of being nominated in the supporting actress category for her role in "Tootsie". The Academy Award for best picture of the year will go to one of the following: "Gandhi"; "E.T."; "Missing"; "Tootsie" or "The Verdict". Directors fighting to the finish are Attenborough for his han- dling of the Gandhi film; Steven Spielberg for his popular "E.T."; Sidney Pollack for "Tootsie"; Sidney Lumet for "The Verdict" and Wolfgang Petersen for "Das Boot". For all its splendor and glory, "Gandhi" will probably take many awards. Streep is being hailed everywhere for making "Sophie's Choice" a memorable film; she already has an award for her supporting role in "Kramer vs. Kramer". Personally, I would like to see Paul Newman rewarded for his many years of hard work and dedication to his craft. Nominated many times, he has never won and he is long overdue. I hope he hugs that little gold statuette for his powerful portrayal in "The Verdict".
