female truck driver take on a vicious gang of hijackers who
are terrorizing a group of independent truckers, in an all
out highway war.

SHOW". Stars Timothy Bottoms, Jeff Bridges, Ben John-
son. Life in a small Texas town in the early 1950s, with
emphasis on their sexual attitudes and practices. Academy

ing Actress, Cloris Leachman.

ney Poitier, Abby Lincoln. Upper middle class suburban
family gets a well-to-do black businessman involved in il-
legal gambling to woo their black maid so she won't leave
them. The plan backfires when the lovable rogue and the
beautiful innocent maid fall in love and she leaves for good.
FRIDAY MIDNIGHT -"BILLY TWO HATS". Stars Gregory
Peck, Desi Arnaz Jr. An aging Irish rogue becomes a fath-
er to a young halfbreed as they try to avoid a boorish law-
man.
SATURDAY, 9:00 P.M. -"THE JAZZ SINGER". Neil
Diamond, Laurence Olivier, Lucie Arnaz. Neil Diamond
stars as a talented young musician torn between a life of
familial and religious traditions and the lure of a more
contemporary career.
SUNDAY, 9:00 P.M. -"THE MIRROR CRACK'D". Eliza-
beth Taylor, Kim Novak, Rock Hudson. This film is based
on Agatha Christie's 1962 novel. A motion picture is being
made in the small English town of St. Mary Mead. At a recep-
tion held to honor the stars of the.film, a guest downs a
poisoned cocktail. But why would anyone want to kill a
young matron whose only offense was boring the hostess?
Perhaps she was not the intended victim. If she wasn't,
who was? Miss Jane Marple, played by Angela Lansbury,
uses her considerable skills to solve the crime, aided by her
favorite nephew, Scotland Yard Chief Inspector Craddock.
SATURDAY, 2:00 -"THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN RiDE".
Star Lee Van Cleef, Stefanie Powers. Two lawmen, the
last of the original "seven" are joined by five paroled con-
victs to save a town from a bandit gang.
MONDAY, 9:00 P.M. -°'LIVING PROOF: THE HANK WIL-
LiAMS Jr. STORY". Richard Thomas. The movie, based
on the autobiography of country -western singer Hank Wil-
liams Jr., dramatizes his efforts to come out from behind
the shadow of his folk -hero father, Hank Williams Sr., to
become a star in his own right.
