young man with lethal hands sets out to avenge his father's
murder. A series of fights and attempted assassinations
plague him, as he moves closer to the truth.
FRIDAY, 8:00 P.M.—"THE BLUES BROTHERS". Star-
ring John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Aretha Franklin. A large
scale musical comedy bringing Elwood and Jake Blues to
the screen with musical messages from Ray Charles,
Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Fats Domino, the Blues
Brothers themselves plus many more.
FRIDAY, 11:45 P.M.—"LIPSTICK". -Sarcing Margaux
Hemingway, Perry King, Mariel Hemingway. A tense
drama about one of the most glamorous models in the
world who becomes a rape victim and, when the rapist is
set free and attacks her younger sister, takes revenge in
her own hands.
SUNDAY, 4:00 P.M.—"CONQUEST OF THE PLANET OF
THE APES". Starring Roddy McDowall, Don Murray,
Natalie Trundy. The apes enslaved by the human popula-
tion of the Earth, which is under the control of a Fascist -
like government are led in a revolt by Caesar, a talking
chimp, son of Cornelius and Zira.
SUNDAY, 8:00 P.M.—"GREASE". Starring John Travolta,
Olivia Newton -John, Stockard Channing. Based on the
long-running Broadway musical play about what it was
like growing up in the 1950's when keeping one's cool meant
everything.
MONDAY, 8:00 P.M.—"LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR".
Starring Diane Keaton, Tuesday Weld, Richard Gere. A
young, lonely woman who teaches deaf children by the day,
goes cruising the singles' bars by night. Bent on self-de-
struction, she looks for one-night stands, which eventually
leads 'her into tragic circumstances.
MONDAY, 11:00 P.M.—"FAREWELL MY LOVELY". Star-
ring Robert Mitchum, Charlotte Rampling, Sylvia Miles.
Remake of 1944 Raymond Chandler's Phillip Marlowe
mystery 'Murder, My Sweet'. A private eye hunts for an
ex -convict's lost sweetnean ana uncovers more tnan ne ex-
pected.
TUESDAY, 8:00 P.M.—"ANNIE HALL". Starring Diane
Keaton, Woody Allen, Paul Simon. Story of a free -wheel-
ing, self -deprecating, funny man who searches for the truth
about his on -again, off -again affair with a beautiful young
woman who is as emotionally bent as he is.
TUESDAY, 11:00 P.M.—"NASTY HABITS". Stars Glenda
Jackson, Geraldine Page, Anne Jackson. Hilarious com-
edy! It's the Watergate mess set in a Philadelphia nun-
nery, with refreshingly different results.
WEDNESDAY, 9:00 P.M.—"SVENGALI". Starring Peter
O'Toole, Jodie Foster, Elizabeth Ashley. A faded star of the
musical stage, who earns a living training singers, trains a
young, basically inexperienced rock singer. The relation-
ship develops so much that the young rock singer becomes
completely dependent on him.
WEDNESDAY MIDNIGHT—"KING OF THE GYPSIES".
Starring Shelley Winters, Judd Hirsch, Brooke Shields.
The film covers three generations of gypsy lore. They, the
gypsies, are portrayed as violent brigands and remain so
until the new king vows to lead his tribe into the 20th cen-
