were given to the chairmen
of the various committees.
Mrs. Alex Taylor, cam-,

Seniors'
Day Centre News
By Pam Williams
The month of March has
begun and this month will be
focussed on nutrition in
Ontario. I hope you all will
gain a better understanding
of nutrition this month. The
slogan from the Ministry of
Agriculture and Food is:
"Choose nutrition now — it
pays!"
Thursday at the centre,
Paula Blagrave, the
dietician at the hospital will
be the guest speaker. She
will speak about nutrition
and may touch on what to do
if you're a diabetic.
Rev. Paul Mills, the
minister from St. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church, was
the guest speaker last
Wednesday. He gave a very
interesting talk which was
helpful for the people who
are not able to get to church
.; regularly.
This week, the Tuesday
group went bowling at the
Wingham Bowling Lanes..
Some of the seniors are
getting quite attached to the
sport.
The next foot clinic will be
March 16 and the flea
market will be Saturday,
April 30. On March 26, there
will be a fitness conference
at the .town hall and the
Armouries. It is a special
conference which will
provide information on the
physically active recreation
program for older adults.
The conference is sponsored
by the Lake Huron Zone
Recreation Association.
Doug Lafreniere is the fit-
ness coordinator. It should
be an interesting and in-
formative conference.
Would any members of the
community be willing to
provide some entertainment
for our program on St.
Patrick's Day?. You don't
need to be a professional and
