ADVISORY COMMITTEE
This Committee consisting of board
members and volunteer citizens may make
recommendations to the Huron Couny Board of
Education in respect to any matter affecting the
establishment and development of special
education programmes and services of excep-
tional pupils of the board.
Volunteers must be -nominated by a local
association and appointed by the Huron County
Board of Education.
Local associations means an association or
organization of parents that operates locally
within the area of jurisdiction of a board and that
is affiliated with an assocation or organization
thatis not an assocation or organization of pro-
fessional educators but that is incorporated and
operates throughout Ontario to further the in-
terests and well-being of one or more groups of
exceptional children or adults.

the meeting. Mrs. Harris
opened with a New Year's
poem.
Thoughts from the
meditation were: "Leave

"Achieve new successes in
the new year", "Express
gratitude for blessings,
appreciation for love of
others, justice and truth",
"Plan for service and peace
in our hearts".
A poem, "Journey into the
New Year" was read by Mrs.
Donaldson.
Scripture from Luke 14:
10-24 was read by Mrs.
Harris, who also gave a
meditation on the scripture.
Mrs. Donaldson read an
article on the work of the
church. Three discussion
groups were formed to
discuss the procedure to be
used by good callers. Mrs.
Donaldson closed with
prayer.
