Rust Stains.
The best way to remove
rust stains from the sink,
tub or toilet bowl is with
oxalic acid. ,Put boiling
water in tub, sink or toilet
bowl after half the water in
it has been r:;; . ved then
add a rounded tablespoon
of oxalic acid crystals
(available from • any drug
store). The hot water
speeds th'e action and the
rust stain will disappear
almost immediately.
"Zud", availablefrom
your Home Hardware will
do the same as oxalic
crystals.

Freezer Odours
If you unfortunately ever
have the problem of freezer
or refrigerator odours here
are some proven remedies.
Place charcoal (not bri-
quettes) in the bottom of
your freezer or refrigerator.
Wash the inside with vine-
gar, an excellent odour
absorbent. Other remedies
that have proven good are:
a saucer of vanilla extract,
a saucer of coffee, wash
with ammonia.
A few drops of Home
Hardware's own odour kill-
er will also, most likely rid
the problem.

Freeze wet washcloths in
aplastic sandwich bag and
keep in a corner of the
refrigerator. When you
have small children, they
are an instanthelp for
bumps, bruises and minor
burns. Just hold them on
until the pain (or crying)
stops!
