based on the controversial case of a young New Jersey

stories set almost entirely within New York's Roseland
Ballroom. The stories are essentially about lonely people

Stars Michael Constantine, Jon Lormer, Logan Ramsey. A
husband and wife detective team investigates a case of a
man who was scared to death.

Steve McQueen, Richard Crenna, Candice Bergen. An
American expatriate, transferred to a gunboat in the
Yangtze River in 1926, falls in love with a missionary teach-
er. When Opium is planted aboard the boat, the boat is held
under siege. The American is forced to take a stand at last.

TUESDAY, 8:00 P.M. -"THE CHAIRMAN". Starring Greg-
ory Peck, Anne Heywood, Arthur •Hill. Scientist is sent to
Red China to bring back a formula, which speeds up the
growth of food. If the mission fails and he is captured, his
orders are to kill himself.
TUESDAY, 11:00 P.M.-"AMARCORD". Starring Magall
Noel, Bruno Zanin, Pupella Maggio. Life of a small Italiaci
coastal town in the 1930s, as recalled by a director with a
superstar's access to the resources of the Italian film in-
dustry and a paper's command over our imagination.
WEDNESDAY, 8:00 P.M. -"THE LUCK OF GINGER
COFFEY". Starring Robert Shaw, Mary Ure, Liam Red-
ssmond, Tom Harvey. Flamboyant Irish immigrant and
family in Montreal have marital and job -holding troubles
until he faces up to his irresponsibility and impracticality.
WEDNESDAY, 11:00 P.M. -"GIRL -BOY". Starring Joan
Greenwood, Michael Hordern. A school head and his wife
constantly argue among themselves and with their friends,
about their son. Nothing about him pleases them, espe-
cially his friends. They are surprised by the fact that he is
coming home for a family reunion with a friend.
