He was 47 years of age- - Born Sept. 28, 1933 in Morris Township, he was the son of Addison and Alice (nee Godkin) Fraser. Mr. Fraser, a member of the Presbyterian Church, was on the staff fo Mid- western Equipment. He is survived by his wife, Judy (nee Fish); by three sons, Douglas, Roger and Colin, all at home; five sisters, Mrs. Allan (Eva) Evans of London, Mrs. Stanley (Joan) Brown of Islington, Mrs. Nora Bell of Listowel, Mrs. Gene (Faye) Teruya of Lethbridge, Alta. and Mrs. Ross (Clara) Lyle of Bobcaygeon and by three brothers, Charles of Brucefield, Donald of Lucknow and Gary of Penticton, B. C. Mr. Fraser was predeceased by his parents and by a brother and sister. Rev. John Anderson conducted the funeral ser- vice, which was held at 1:30 p.m., Monday Aug. 10 at the Robert Trench Funeral Home, Listowel. Interment is in Wingham Cemetery. Humphrey of Pinecrest Nursing Home, Lucknow, passed away in Wingham and District Hospital on August 10. He was in his th year. Mr. Humphrey was born in West Wawanosh Township on November 5, 1893, a son of the late : William John Humphrey and the former Keziah Phillips. He farmed most of his life, retiring in 1965. On October 25, 1916, he married the former Margaret Hunter of Ashfield Township. She predeceased him, as did one daughter, Freda, a grandson, Brian Snowden, two sisters, Mrs. George (Eva) Walker and Lila. Surviving are four sons, William G. and Harold of Lucknow, Lorne of Belgrave and Lloyd, West Wawanosh; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Caroline) Snowden, Lucknow, Mrs. George (Greta) Webster, White- church, and Mrs. Roy (Mary) Robinson, East Wawanosh. t The late William A. Humphrey rested at the MacKenzie -McCreath Memorial Chapel, Lucknow, until August 13 at two o'clock when funeral service was conducted by Rev, Arthur Scott of St. Helens United Church where deceased was a member. He was borne to his final resting place in Lucknow's Greenhill Ceme- tery by six grandsons, George Humphrey, Jim Humphrey, Bill Snowden, Leonard Robinson, Wayne Humphrey and Rick Humphrey. Floral tributes were carried by six gran- ddaughters, Dianne Nugent, Brenda Rutledge, Bonnie Milerchuck, Susan Hum- phrey, Linda Bosman and Barb Desforge. East itiawanosh native dies at local hospital Following a brief illness, George Ivan Snell Walker of Copeland Lodge, Wingham, formerly of Belgrave, passed away Saturday, August 1, at Wingham and 'District Hospital. Mr. . Walker was in his 88th year and had been in failing health since losing his life partner, Mrs. Eva Walker, on June 2,8. Born in East Wawanosh Township on February 16, 1894, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elisha Walker. He attended SS No. 9, East Wawanosh, ' and farmed in the township all his adult life. He retired to Belgrave in 1969. Mr. Walker married the former Eva Humphrey on September 20, 1922, at her home in St. Helens. They had a family of four sons, Howard and Ernest, both of Wingham, Wilfred, RR 5, Wingham, and Clarence, RR Wingham. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one brother, Harold of 'Huron - view, Clinton. The late George Walker rested at The Currie -Walker Funeral Home, Wingham, where friends paid their respects until Tuesday,. August 4, when Rev. K. Barry Passmore conducted funeral service at, two. o'clock: Interment followed in Wingham Cemetery. Pallbearers were Allen Walker, Glen Walker, Doug Walker, Donald Walker, Rick Walker and Michael Walker, all grandsons of the deceased. Five granddaugh- ters, Joyce Vincent, Cheryl Walker, Donna Palmer., Bonnie Walker and Cathy Walker, carried floral tributes. MRS. Earl Toner underwent surgery at' St. Joseph's Hospital, London, on Thurs- day.. Mrs. Murray Edgar ac- companied Mr, acid Mrs. George Cameron of Storiey Creek and John Cameron of Toronto home after visiting at the homes of Mrs. Gladstone Edgar and Mrs. Harvey Adams and other relatives and friends in the community. Service for Mrs. Cummins on August 6 Funeral service was con- ducted Thursday, August 6, at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church for Mrs. Mary Irene Cummins of Cambridge, formerly of RR 2, Lucknow, who passed away Tuesday, August 4, at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home, Cambridge. Rev. E. Dentinger officiated and interment followed in St. Augustine Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tom Armstrong, Bill Kinahan, Gordon. Foran, Russell Phillips, . Cyril Boyle and Jerry Brophy. Flowers were carried by two grandsons of the deceased; Bernard and Michael Cummins. Mrs. Cummins was in her 83rd year and death followed a brief illness. Born in West Wawanosh Township on January 18, 1899, she was the former Mary Irene Boyle, a daughter of the late James Boyle and Mary Jane Redmond. Her husband, Michael Cummins, prede- ceased her in 1979. Left to mourn her passing are one daughter and one cqn Mrc llnnald (Mary Ellen) Lahn of Waterloo and Dr. James Cummins, RR 4, Cambridge; ten grand- children; one sister, Mrs. Gus (Mary) Devereaux, and one brother, Jack Boyle, both of Wingham. Fordwich resident dies. at her home The death occurred on Friday, July 31, at her home in Fordwich, of Mrs. Ethel Anne Stewart, in her 97th year. Mrs. Stewart was the dear mother of Mrs. Elston (Olga) Speiran of RR 3, Brussels Mrs. Carl (Greta) Ettinger, Listowel; Clifford of RR 1, Clifford and Harris 'of Fordwich. Also surviving are four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one sister. She was predeceased by two brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and her husband, William D. Stewart. The late Mrs. Stewart rested at the Gorrie Chapel of M. L. Watts Funeral 'Homes where service was conducted Sunday, August 2, at 2:30 by Rev. Thomas Fleetham of Fordwich United Church.
