Historically, the building has served as a Post Office and originally a Customs Office from its openings in 1907 until 1968 when it was deeded to the town. Any person may, within thirty days of the first publication of thic notice, send by registered mail or deliver to the Clerk of the Town of Wingham notice of his or her objection to the proposed designation together with a statement of the reasons for the obj ion and all relevant facts. If such a Notice of Obj ion is received, the Council of the Corporation of the wn of Wingham shall refer the matter to the Conservpation Review Board for a hearing. Members of 4-H attend meeting of Belgrave WI BELGRAVE — The Family and Consumer Af- fairs meeting of the Bel-. grave Women's Institute was held in the WI Hall on Tues- day evening, with the 4-H girls, their leaders and mothers as guests. The president, Mrs. Ross Higgins, opened the meeting with the Opening Ode, the Mary Stewart Collect and "0 Canada". The minutes of the April and May meetings, the financial statement and the correspondence were read by Mrs. James Hunter. An invitation was received from the Goderich branch to attend its 80th anniversary on June 24 at MacKay Centre. A donation will be made to the. Salvation Army appeal. The upcoming 4-H Nethery reunion is held at . Londesboro BELGRAVE — The 36th annual Nethery reunion was held June 21 at the com- munity hall, Londesboro, with 70 signing the register. Ella and Linda Ines of Blyth were in charge of the sports which were' enjoyed by all. Guests were present from Edmonton, Alberta, Nether - hill and Kindersley, Sask., Niagara Falls, Burlington, Hamilton, Chatham, Sarnia, Kitchener, Goderich,. Clinton, Lucknow, Tees - water, Auburn, Londesboro and surrounding district. Following the supper hour the president, Alvin Gallagher of Kitchener, took charge of the meeting. He announced the deaths during the past year of Stella Nethery of Belgrave, Her- man Nethery of Blyth, Mrs. Lloyd Hollingsworth of Richard's La�mg, Mrs. Glenn Gallag e3i' r o'fe live, Alberta, and Ronald Van Camp fo Guelph, and a few minutes silence followed in remembrance. A treat of watermelon was given to all present by Alex Nethery of Burlington.. President for next year is Alvin Gallagher of Kitchener and secretary -treasurer, Mary Isabel Nethery of Burlington. Belgrave Personal Notes Harold Keating enjoyed a five-day bus trip on the Pennsylvania Dutch Tour. He visited the Corning Glass Factory, the Amish Country and Hershey's Chocolate Factory. Mr. and Mrs. Bert John- ston of Belgrave and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnston of Blue - vale attended the Speiran Reunion in Mitchell on Sun- day. Relatives attending were from Toronto, Ethel, Hamilton, London, St. Thomas, St. Marys, Monk - ton, Goderich, Bluevale and Belgrave. Kenneth Davis of Strat- ford, Robert Coultes of Brookhaven Nursing Home, Wingham and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Matheson of Moles- worth were Father's Day guests with Mr. and Mrs. William Coultes and family. Mr. and Mrs; Ross Wightman, Tracey, Pamela and Kevin of Fergus visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wightman. Quite a number of Bel - grave people enjoyed a bus trip to the Lion's Safari at Rockton last Wednesday. Sheila and Doreen Ander- son visited for a few days this past week with Mr, and Mrs. Rick Ball of Hanover. Quite a number of rela- tives and friends from this area attended the wedding of Tami Jean McGlynn and Murray Allan Edgar on Saturday evening, at Wing - ham United Church. The reception was held at the Teeswater Community Centre. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mali and Taylor of RR 5, Holyrood spent the weekend in Wind- sor and attended the wed- ding of Wiltshire -Perko at Cottam. Mrs. Lawrence Taylor accompanied them and visited with Mrs. Ruth Coyne and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Kirkham and Ken of Wind- sor. Miss Brenda Edgar of Petrolia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maitland Edgar, has accepted a position in the Wingham and District Hospital as a kinesiologist. clubs and adult workshops were announced. Mrs. Clare Van Camp gave a report of the officers' conference `held at Waterloo in May and Mrs. Leonard James 'gave a re- port of the district annual held in St. Helens. The WI will be catering to the Blyth Festival suppers on July 10 and August 7 and will be sponsoring a bus trip to the agricultural museum at Milton on August 5. It was decided to give a gift to the girl who wins the Centennial Queen contest in Morris. The roll call was, "Something. I missed by not being a 4-1-I member The meeting was turned. over to the program con- vener, Mrs. John Anderson, who spoke on the motto, "Learn to do by doing",and explained the meaning of the 4-H pledge. The 4-H girls presented a fashion show of the garments they had made during their project, Ready, Set, Sew." The leaders for the Belgrave I club were Mrs. Gary Van Camp and Mrs. James Hunter and for the Belgrave :II club was Mrs. Alex Nethery and Mrs.- Glenn Montgomery. Mrs. 'Anderson conducted. a memory contest,' then in trodueed Mrs. Janice Mathe- son, who ; demonstrated . making a wail hanging from dried material§ and silk flowers. Mrs. Anderson thanked Janice and pre- sented her with a gift. The meeting closed by singing "The Queen" and, repeating the Institute Grace, following which lunch was served by Mrs. James Ffiunter and Mrs. • Earl Anderson. Accepts position in Mississauga Mark Hill, Son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Hill of Wingham, graduated June 13 from Conestoga College as a Mechanical Engineering Technician with a diploma from the Hydraulics -and Pneumatics program; Mark has accepted a position with the Wairibee Co. in Mississauga. Visitor program resumes The Bruce Nuclear Power Development is beginning its daily free visitor programa on June 19. The daily program, in- cluding Saturdays and Sundays, begins at 10 o'clock in the morining and con- tinues through the day until 5 p.m. . Signs on Highway 21 direct visitors to the large parking lot at the Visitors' Centre on Concession .4 of Bruce Township, where guests board buses for a one-hour guided tour of the nuclear stations, heavy water plants and support facilities. The program will continue until Labor Day. ' St. John Ambulance is offering a new, innovative home health care course to train people to care for family members at home. EARNS BSc....
