the Corporation of the
Township of Howick to
'Dispense with a Vote
of the Electors
TAKE NOTICE THAT:
1. The Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Howick intends to apply to the Ontario Municipal Board
for approval to the construction of 3,480 feet of new cement
sidewalks In the Police Village of Wroxeter es described in
Schedule 'A' below, at an estimated cost of $40,000 where-
of the amount of $18,000 shall be raised by the sale of De-
bentures payable by the imposition of a Special Annual Rate
to be levied on all rateable property situate , lying and
being within the said Village of Wroxeter over a period not
exceeding 10 years.
2. Application will be made to the Ontario Municipal Board
fo'r an order to dispense with the assent of the electors to
the undertaking of the said works. Any ratepayer may, with-
in twenty-one days after the first publication of this notice,
serve personally or by registered melt on;the Clerk of the
Township of Hawick, at the address given below, a notice
in writlng stating his objection to such approval and the
grounds of such objection and that If a public hearing Is
held, he or his representativewill attend such hearing to
support such objection.
3. The Ontario Municipal Board may order -pursuant to the
statute that the assent of the electors shall not be required
and may approve of the said works. but before doing so it
may appoint a time and place for a public hearing when any
objections will be considered, but notice of such hearing win
be given only to those persons who have given notice. of
objection as provided for above.
