The funeral service, held
in Guelph on June 2, was
conducted by the rector,
Ven. Peter Moore, assisted
by the associate priest, Ven.
f' Allen Hill, a friend of the
family. Burial took place in
Christ Anglican Church
Cemetery, Lakeside.
She leaves, to mourn her
passing, her husband; two
daughters, Mrs; Timothy
(Rosemary') Hayhurst -
France of Guelph and Mrs,
James Alice) Neufield of
Winnipeg; seven grand-
children and a sister, Mrs.
Lucy B. Streight. A sister,
Effie M. Bower, predeceased
her in 1976.
The tributes to her
memory were many.he
was a gracious lady who
helped to make the world a
better place for many
people. She had great wit
and charm and an
unquenchable spirit.

he was also a literary censor.
When - an author in 1911
appealed to the Supreme
Court of Canada.for the rte-°'
turn of a manuscript about
King's rebel grandfather
which King thought un-
complimentary, King wrote
the Judges of the Court
telling them the manuscript
should be suppressed. The
Court ignored him. The
manuscript was returned but
never published.
