WOmen's Missionary Society
ofichahners'ehurch held its
June meeting last Wed-
• nesday at the home of Mrs.
John DeBoer.
Mrs. Bill Eintoul presided
for the meeting, giving the
call -to worship, and
welcoming all. Folling the
singing of a hynan, Mrs. Rin -
gave the 'Meditation and
le41 in prayer.
• A reading, "When God
Created Father", was given
by Mrs. Man Falconer and
the topic on tithing was given
by. Mrs. Victor. Emerson.
God owns everything hi the
world, as declared in the
first verse of Psalm 24, she
said: "The earth is the
Lord's and the fulness -there-
of and they that dwell there-
-in."
The tithe belongs to the
Lord, but when we begin to
talk about ' money, that's the
nerve that hits our pocket-
book. She urged members to
start tithing and see what the
Lord will do.

of Wingham spent an af-
ternoon recently at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Shaugh-
nessy, St. Helens.
Rev. Terry Trites of
Bluevale was the guest
speaker at the Sunday
morning 'Worship service at
St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church. His sermon theme
was "Good, Better, Best?".
The choir sang an anthem,
with a duet portion being
sung by Mrs. Janet bay and
Gordon Leggatt.

proximately 20 voices en-

organ accompaniment.
George Procter, superin-
tendent, conducted the
opening sentences. He was
assisted in the service by

Rev. Morse C, Robinson,
Bishop Suffragan of Huron,
visited Trinity Anglican
Church on Sunday for con-
firmation and the Holy
Eucharist.
Those receiving the sacra-
ment of confirmation were

Nethery, Erika Stangen and
Johanna Van Camp.
Assisting in the service
were the cross -bearer,
Michael Milosevic; the

Trinity, under the leadership
of the. organist, Mrs. Clare

six o'clock en Saturday, May
23, for the double -ring cere-
mony of Valerie Rose Marie
Clayton, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Bev Clayton of South-
ampton, and Cart Robert
Good, eldest son of Mr. and
Mrs. Israel Gopd, Wingham.
Rev. Wes Gutowski of
Wingham officiated and
Mrs. Jack Brophy presided
at the organ.
Leading the bride and her
attendants we twin nieces,
Angela and Alicia Wade,
gowned alike in pale blue
polyester with puffed
sleeves. They wore blue „
forget-me-nots with baby's
breath in their hair and each
girl carried a single blue
rose.
The bride, given in
marriage by her parents,
.chose a gown styled with
white polyester sheer yoke
with mandarin collar
trimmed with sequins and
peer's., The full bishop
sleeves were sheer .lace to
the elbows and gathered at
the wrists with wide cuffs
and tiny covered buttons.
Her fingertip veil Was caught
by a headband, of lace and
pearls and she carried a
bouquet of white lilies,
Boston fern, grape ivy and
diefenbachia leaves tied to a
bow of white satin.
Miss Lynn Weber of
Tiverton, friend of the bride,
• was maid of honor. She wore
a gown styled with tulip front
with a ruffle. The dress was
trimmed with lace and
featured a matching
polyester cape. She ,carried
an arm bouquet of baby's
breath, cerulean blue roses
and white lilies. ,

•Winghain, Miss Lori Clayton
of Strathroy, sisters of the
bride, and Miss 'Rose Marie
Good, sister of the groom, -
were bridesmaids. Their
. dresses were. the same as,.
that worn by the maid Of
honor and they carried arm
bouquets of baby's breath,
cerulean blue roses and
white poppies. .
Tom Lee of London, friend
of the groom, was best man
and Murray McKague and
Richard Ohm, friends of the
groom, and Paul Good,
brother of the groom, all of
Wingham, were ushers.
Prior to the ceremony,
Mrs. Mary Lee of Wingham
sang "God of Love, 0 God of
Goodness". "The Twelfth of
Never" was the solo as they
signed the register.
Following the wedding a
reception was held at
Teeswater Community
Centre where the mother of
the bride received guests in a
gown of dusty rose polyester.
She wore a crescent corsage
of minuet pink roses.
Assisting was the groom's
mother in a beige printed
polyester dress with pleated
skirt. She chose a crescent
corsage of cerulean blue
roses. The master of cere-
monies was Kenny Morrow
of London, friend of the
bride.
For a honeymoon trip to
South Dakota, the bride wore
a beige printed dress of linen
with white accessories. After
the trip, the couple will
reside in Wingham.
Honored guests were Mr.
and Mrs. Levi Good,
Hanover, and Mrs. Audrey
Biggerstaff, Wingham,
grandparents of the groom,
and Mt. and Mrs. Newton
Clayton, Guelph, godparents
of the bride. Other guests
were present from Guelph,
Kitchener, Smith'e Falls,
Stratford: Landon, Strath-
roy, Southampton, Paisley,
Blyth, Teeswater, Sarnia,
Kincardine, Hanover, Wing -
ha m and Midland, in
Ontario, as well tie Sherwood
Park, Alberta.

Following the closing
hymn and the Blessing,
which was sung by the choir,
everyone enjoyed a delicious
barbecue chicken lunch pre-
pared by the younger mem-
bers of the congregation and
the Hi -C group. The meal
was served in the WI Hall
and church school room.
Rev. Roberts introduced
the guest speaker, Ev.
Smith, who is presently with
Alcohol and Drug Concerns
in London. His theme was
"Preventive Ethicatiozi".
He 'led the pupils by
questioning to realize that
each was a "vip". VIP chil-
dren learn that their bodies
and minds are great gifts of
God.
With the help of his puppet
"Salty" which represented a
Sunday School pupil, Mr.
Smith, a ventriloquist,
received replies to many
questions relating the Bible
personalities.
MR. AND MRS. MAURICE DENNIS of Wingham are
pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of
their daughter, Diane Elizabeth, to Robert George
Darling, of Kitchener, son of James Darling, RR 1,
Clifford, and Mrs. Isabel Darling of RR 1, St, Thomas.
