It is Mike Heard and he is Moving to Regina, Mrs. L-eedhantt"gave him a going - away party. At Scouts we planned a Scout camp that will be held at 'Leedham's cottage this weekend. Aside from the Scouts, eight Cubs will be coming tnt g wi th us. They are the Cubs that are- becoming Scouts next year. We also were visited by two of our Standish friends. They came along with some of the boys from Mr. Whitely's Grade 6 class. We played games that let us see how the disabled feel, for example, to be deaf, blind or an amputee. A special event took place Saturday to commemorate the 50th wedding an- niversary of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Crawford. Present for the happy occasion were members of their family, Rev. and Mrs. John Crawford and family of Saskatoon, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lloyd and family, Thornhill, Mrs. Sally Woodcock , and family, Toronto, and Mr. and Mrs. David Blair and family, London. Also' in attendance were 'Mr.' Crawford's two sisters and brother, Mrs. M. S. Bedford, Toronto, Mrs. Jean Lawrence and Graham Crawford. both of Brampton. Many friends called to Wis Mr. and Mrs. Crawford well on this important milestone in their lives. Rev. Dr. John Nyren Buchanan of Knox College, Toronto, was guest speaker at the morning worship service in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Sunday. A family gathering was held for Rowland Ballagh at. - his Catherine Street home oh Monday, the occasion of- his birthday. Present to wish him a happy day were Mrs. Claude - Bronson, Elmira, Capt. Neil Bronson, Ottawa, Mrs; John Clark, Greg and Steve of Dundas. Music" exactly: as it was played for a Milverton $oftha>N Classic, June 12-14 The second Milverton International Softball Classic is set for June 12-14 with plenty of good softball action for area fans. Twelve • Intermediate men's teams and an equal number of Senior women's teams will be battling for supremacy at the two Milverton ball parks as well as diamonds in Rostock; Newton and Millbank. The teams are divided into four divisions, two men's and two women's. Each team is guaranteed five games in division play, with the top two teams in each division going on to the finals. A total of 62 games will be played over the weekend. Following the games on Saturday night,:a social evening 'sponsored by the Milverton - • Lions called "Batting 500" will be held at the Milverton arena: Music will be by Royce Riehl.
