The ca{vdents had parents laughing as they showed how FNS can get distorted through gossip in a small, Irish v.iiage. The play featured Tara Parker, Carol Bel anger, Rita Brophy, Murray Skinn, Lisa Parker, Brenda Richey, Doug Montgomery, Steven Skinn, noise Kumprev, Ann Marie Albers, Terrance Allen, L Karen Schwichtenberg, Mary Smits, Suzanne Fischer and Sean Kieffer. Scenery was by Sheila and Shirley Marklevitz, Wanda Dumont, Valerie McGlynn, Cindy Benninger; Suzanne Doerr and Corrie 'Rammeloo. Props were looked after by Scott Allen, Jim Hallahan, Kent Hallahan, Sean McGlynn, Clair Schmidt, Leon- ard Schmidt, Steven Wilhelm, Xay Hoa and Murray Houghton. Angela Benninger was in charge of cos- tumes. May 6, parents, StudentS and teacher§ gathered at Sacred Heart for at slcccessful spring concert. An added feature of the Cert this year was the lion of a new stage. Festival winners from Grades 1-8 sang their win,• Bing songs while students in the junior and intermediate divisions gave their speeches. An enjoyable play was performed by the Grade 7-8 class. The title of the play .was "Spreading the News". ' A number of French songs were sung by Grade 5-6. Various. props were Used to relay the meaning of the, various words. The evening concluded with parents being invited to go to the various classrooms. MUSICAL FESTIVAL A Sacred Heart Music Festival was held April 29 and judged by Mrs. Marie Douglas of F. E. Madill Sec- ondary School. Winners par- ticipated in the concert held May 6 during Education Week. They were: Grade 1 girl's solo, Sherry Dekker and Carrie Skinn; boy's solo, Darryl Hallahan, Ivan Skinn, Jason Kieffer and Jeremy McGlynn; Grade 2 girl's solo, Sheri Lyn Allen, . BELGRAVE -- The baptism of Michelle Lynn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson took place at Donnybrook United Church on Sunday. Following the service rela- tives met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gordon for the dinner. Kieffer and Douglas Mont- gomery. SCIENCE FAIR Our third science fair was a huge success. There was a total off 22 different projects entered. The winners in the primary group were Healy Hallahan, Carrie Skinn and Mary Anne Hallahan. In the junior area, the winners were Jennifer Sanders, Billy Kinahan, Devin Schmidt, Doug .Ger- son, Lori Parker, Leah Kulas, Dianne Hallahan, Patricia Albers, -wight Hallahan and Patrick Bray. The winners in the in- termediate division were Murray Skinn, Scott and Terrence Allen, ` Angela Benninger and Sheila Marklevitz. The fair was concluded Thursday with a rocket demonstration by Scott and Terrence Allen.
