Thanks to all thededicated volunteers who gave so much of their time and energy in sale preparations and the day of the sale. Without your help, organization would have been quite difficult. For two weeks we had a display in the window of R. W. Pike and Associates here in Wingham, which helped a great deal in advertising. Thanks also to all those who allowed posters in their windows, storefronts, etc. Knechtels of Wingham donated a $15 food voucher to be a raffle item and Zehrs Markets donated the cookies for the tea room. Many private donations of baking, plants, bags for Snap up the opportunities in the CLASSIFIED ADS 3574320 packing were Nought in, and were all appreciated very much. Winners of the various items raffled off were . as follows: mohair afghan, John McInnes Sr. of Wingham; mohair shawl; Emma Johnston, Bluevale; Knechtels food voucher, Mary Armstrong of Wing - ham; handmade dell, Hilda Fllsinger of RR 1, Bluevale; handmade Raggedy Ann doll, Anita Mahe of Wing - ham; small table, Jean Renwick of Wingham; hooked rug, Lottie Scott, RR 1, Belgrave; and, tropical plant, Gwen McCool, RR 5, Wingham. We also would like to thank everyone who attended the sale in support of the Wingham and Area Day Centre for the Homebound. The , proceeds are going towards operating costs of the centre. If anyone missed the sale and would like to come see our remaining stock, please do. We sold many articles, but we also have a good selection left. Drop into the Armouries if you wish to see the remaining plants and craft items. To everyone who helped make the sale a success, thanks. Not only did the sale help out financially, but the community had the opport- unity of being more aware of the centre and its purpose. MARIE DE VOS, Millicent Stewart and Rita Rice helped display crafts at the annual sale for the Day Centre for the Homebound in the Wingham Armouries last Thursday.
