-councillors accepted a plan
of operation for the township
waste disposal site at their
meeting Jan. 6. •
The plan, prepared by Art
Clark of Maitland Engi-
neering, Wingham, was
required by the Ministry of
the Engironme,nt in order to
continue licencing of the site
for a dump.
In the report Mr. Clark
outlined the results of his
study of thedump site, which
he said is a valuable asset to
the township and could
prtivide dumping capacity
for the v'foreseegible Mire
with a minimum of environ-
mdital impact. He recom-

might, be more famous, but
Howick Central School just
might match Quebec City's
enthusiasm. Weather per

first Snow Carnival will be
held Jan. 20.
Outside events will include
races, log sawing, obstacle
courses, golf and a tug-of-
war. Students thawing out
inside can chooSe from sales
of popcorn, soup, baking, hot
chocolate, candy, hot dogs

Parents and anyone else

Williamson. Special prizes
were won by Jean Clarkson,
