Wingharn man dies after long illness Following a lengthy illness, Joseph Edward Blake of 335 "Josephine Street, Wingham, passed away at Rammeloo Guest Home, Blyth, on -Tuesday, December 30.. He was in his 79th year. Mr. `Make was born in England on February 3, 1902, and received tis education there, His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Blake. He came to Canada in 1921 • and resided in the Kitchener area where he married his wife, the former Mary Ann Steppler, on April 16, 1927. She predeceased him on May 1, 1963. Mr. Blake worked as a cabinet mokar nntit his retirement in 1964. A native of West 'Wawa - nosh Township and resident of__ Wingham for the past several years, Miss Annie H. Kennedy of 181 Frances Street, Wingham, passed away., Monday, December 29, in Victoria Hospi 7,'London. She res in her 83rd year. Born in West Wawanosh on September 14, 1898, Miss Kennedy was a daughter of the late David Kennedy and Jane. Fisher. She was em- ployed 'as a nurse at the Wingham hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and the Mary Hastings Club. Left to mourn her death are two brothers, Alex off Winnipeg and George of Goderich, as 'well as several nieces -and nephews. A.) Cameron'of-bucknow are mourning the passing of their mother which occurred Wednesday, December 31, at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Lucknow. Mrs. Cameron was in her 91st year. Born April 30, 1890, at McDonald's Corners, Lanark County, the former Clara Purdon ' was a daughter of the late, John Purdon and Margaret Kelso. She married Mr. Cameron at 4. McDonald's Corners on , September 28, 1'910, and they moved to Ashfield Township in 1918 with their family. He predeceased.,, her in 1976 and one son, Glen, died in 1952. • She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mason' (Jean) Robinson, Wingham; one son, Ralph of Lucknow; 14 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren..
