Born in Turnberry
Township on December 1,
• 1919, -Mr. Vanstone was a son
of the late William Vanstone'
and Martha Mae -Belle
Armstrong. He (-Wended
School, Turnberry
Township, and the• Wingham
High School and was a
maintenance man for Lloyd
Doors, Wingham, during his
early life. He later was
employed five ,years in
fahritagek itt Stattlq Doer:
Systems Ltd, He retired in
1965. • •
Mr. VanstOne will be sadly
missed by his family and
many friends. He was active
• for many years in baseball,
• bowling, curling and ping-
pong, winning several
• trophies. In earlier years he
. played the violin and banjo
• in Vanstone's Orchestra,
playing for dances in the
community. He particularly
enjoyed working outdoors in
his vegetable and flower
gardens in summer and
hunting in the winter.
• He is survived by his wife,
• the former Nora Newell,
whom he married on Sep-
tember 17, 1936; one
daughter, Ferne Vanstone of
Toronto; one son, Kirk
Vanstone, Wingham ; and
two grandchildren, John and
Laurie Vanstone of
Wingham. There is one
sister, Mae RichardSon of
Orillia; and one brother,
Sam Vanstone, Wingham.
He was Predeceased by two
sisters, Mary Elliott and
Hazel Stacey; and one

Mr. Shaw :was born in
Morris TOwnship and was a
son Of the late Hugh Anson
Shaw and Mary Ann Forrest.
He farmed in Morris priorto
his • retirement •when he
moved into the village of
Brussels. He was a member
Of Melville Presbyterian
Church.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Pearl Car-
noChan three sons, John and
Jim of Bluevale and Harvey,
Brussels; two daughters;
Mrs. Jim (Dorothy)'t
Thompson, Bluevale, and
Mrs. John (Edith) Pipe,
Brussels; and 13 grand-
children. He • was
predeceased by one gran-
ddaughter and two brothers,
• Frank and Ralph.

committal service was held

Brussels Chapel of M. L.
