The Wingham club, suf-
fering from injuries and
missing a few players due to
exams, was hard pressed to
put together a full roster for
the game. It had 13 skaters
and two goaltenders and was
missing some valuable
regulars; missing from the
lineup were Mike Montgom-
ery and Tom Remington, as
well as Jim Blackwell and -
Dave Kieffer, who have
dressed only when could
get time away from school.
The two clubs skated
through a scoreless first.

and the goaltenders handled
the few shots allowed by the

The Wingham Kinsmen
Bantams won back-to-back
hockey . games Nov. 29-30
with victories over Clinton
and Mitchell.
Wingham completely
dominated Clinton with an
easy 12-4 win in the Clinton
arena. Eight players shared
in the scoring: Brett
Cameron fired the hat trick,
Jim Dennis and Mike
Houghton each had a pair of
goals and singles were
scored by Tim Brown, Steve
Nicholson, Sean Bray, Paul
Kenyon and Doug
Stephenson.
The following night
Wingham took on Mitchell in
the Lockridge Memorial
Arena and . skated to a
convincing 5-1 victory.
Brown opened the scoring
for Wingham at 12:42 of the
first period, assisted by
Cameron and Nicholson.
Mitchell tied the score early
in the second, but Wingham
came roaring back with four
unanswered goals.
Doug McFarlan scored
two in a row, with Houghton
and Rob Willis assisting on
the first and Dennis and
Houghton' on the second.
Brown scored his second
goal at the 25 second mark of
the third period, assisted by
Cameron and Nicholson.
Cameron completed the
scoring with four seconds
left in the game, assisted by
Brown and Nicholson.

Wingham Lions' seven -game
winning streak and earned
Mitchell Midgets a 4-4 tie
with the Lions' Monday night
in Mitchell.
Darryl Chalmers and
Kevin Coultes handled all the
scoring for Wingham, with a
pair of goals each. Tom
Foulon collected three
assists and Coultes one. Dale

The Wingham Senior girls'
ringette team added two
more wins on the weekend,
defeating Kurtzville 11-3
Friday night and Zurich 6-1
on Saturday night.
In the Kurtzville game the
team got goals from Kerrie
Bray, with a hat. •.-trick,
Andrea Walker, Lori
Gavreluk and Pam
Passmore, each with two,
and" Angela Walker and
Paula Strong with singles.
Wingham played well,
especially in the last period
when the girls had to play
double shifts.
In the Zurich game the
team ,got goals from Julaine
Adams, with a hattrick, and
Maureen. Beattie with two:

holds meeting
Executive members of the
Grey Bruce Area of the
Women's Institute met on
Dec. 9 at the home of Mrs.
Harold Biasing of Neustadt.
Mrs. Biasing attended .a
board meeting in Toronto the
previous week, the purpose
of which was to pass on the
business of Federated
Women's Institutes of
Ontario for the year 1981.
The newly -elected
president of the FWIO is
Mrs. Keith Hiepleh of -
Springfield, Ontario.
Mrs. Biasing stated
disappointment in the drop
of membership in Ontario.
There are 1,207 branches, _a
drop of 20, and 27,492
members, a drop of over
1,000.
The Officers' Conference
will be held at the University
of Waterloo May 5-7, for
district directors or member
at large and district level
federated representative or
alternate. The FWIO Con-
vention will be held in
Frederiction, N.B., June 12-
18, 1982. The 17t Triennial
Conference AC will be in
British Columba June 19-30, '
1983. The 85th anniversary of
the FWIO will be in August,
1981, at a place not yet
decided. ,
The Helen MacKereher
Scholarship for 1980 was
awarded to Mrs. Josie
Snyder of Tillsonburg. A
donation of $4,000 was sent to
the Special Care Project at
Ware College, London,
England, to help defray
expenses for overseas
students. Since 1 a1 is the
Year of the Disabled,
Women's Institutes are
. requested to keep this in
mind for their programming
and projects for the year.
Thanks was expressed to
Mrs. Biasing for her kind
hospitality as host tcs the
meeting.

the Lions crushed Seaforth 9-
5, with Kevin Coultes leading
the way with three goals.
