The Wingham Royals
travelled to Mount Forest
Friday and defeated the
hometown Rams 5-2. 'The
Wingham effort was boosted
by standout performances
by goalie Ben Blackwell and
forward Jim McGee. McGee
scored three times and
added an assist to lead the
Royals.
It was Blackwell who
made the difference in the
early going. The Royals
started slowly and Blackwell
came up with several great
saves to keep them from
falling behind.
At 7:49 of the period
McGee scored the first of his
goals in a powerplay,
assisted by Russell Jones
and Bernie Haines. Just over
two minutes later McGee
spored again, this time
